Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Airport shuttle to your lodge near Lake Victoria.
Day 2
Relax in the morning, then take a private boat in Mabamba swamp for the shoebill. This can be moved to the morning of day 3.
Day 3
Drive to Ziwa for a late lunch, a nature walk and an evening at your cottage.
Day 4
Walk close to white rhinos in the morning, then continue to Murchison Falls for an afternoon game drive.
Day 5
Take a game drive and a Nile boat cruise to the falls.
Day 6
Travel to Kibale, the home of the chimpanzees.
Day 7
Rest, with optional forest walks and birding.
Day 8
Track chimpanzees in the morning and walk the Bigodi wetlands.
Day 9
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 10
Take a game drive and the Kazinga Channel boat trip.
Day 11
Drive through Ishasha to the forest, home of the mountain gorillas.
Day 12
Trek to a gorilla family and spend one hour with them.
Day 13
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a day of rest on the water.
Days 14 and 15
Two days of game drives, walking safaris or time by the pool.
Day 16
Game drive, then transfer to Entebbe, with an evening flight possible.
