3-day Rwanda gorilla trek
A relaxed three-day route: a Kigali orientation, a gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park and an unhurried return.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Meet your driver-guide at Kigali International Airport and take a short city tour, with the option of the Genocide Memorial. Drive north through terraced hills to the lodge near Volcanoes National Park, about two hours away, and rest before the trek.
Day 2
Early breakfast, then the briefing at the park headquarters in Kinigi. Trek with rangers and trackers to your gorilla family and spend one hour with them. Return to the lodge for the evening.
Day 3
Drive back to Kigali after breakfast. If you did not visit the Genocide Memorial on day one, you can do so now before your transfer to the hotel or airport.
