Day 1
A gentle first day of birding in the gardens near Lake Victoria.
Day 2
Look for the shoebill at Mabamba swamp, then travel north to Budongo Forest.
Day 3
Bird the Royal Mile, one of the best forest birding trails in Uganda.
Day 4
Move from forest to savannah in Murchison Falls National Park.
Day 5
Travel to Kibale Forest, the primate and birding capital.
Day 6
A full day of rainforest birding.
Day 7
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the Rift Valley.
Day 8
Bird the Kazinga Channel, one of Africa's best waterbird corridors.
Day 9
Look for Congo-basin specialities in Semuliki.
Days 10 to 12
Three days in Bwindi, the core of the Albertine Rift birding region.
Days 13 to 18
The southern highlands, volcanoes and wetlands, then the journey back to Entebbe.
