Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After an early breakfast, begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most famous wildlife destination.
En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where visitors can track wild rhinos on foot. Accompanied by experienced rangers, walk through the sanctuary and observe southern white rhinos in their natural habitat. This remarkable conservation success has played a vital role in restoring rhinos to Uganda.
After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park. Before checking into your lodge, visit the Top of the Falls, where the mighty Nile River squeezes through a narrow rock gorge before plunging dramatically into the Devil’s Cauldron.
Overnight: Murchison Falls National Park
Day 3: Game Drive and Nile Boat Safari in Murchison Falls National Park
Today offers a classic Big Five Uganda Safari experience.
Start with an early morning game drive across the northern savannah. Search for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, and numerous bird species. Murchison Falls supports one of the richest wildlife populations in East Africa.
After lunch, enjoy a boat safari on the Victoria Nile. This unforgettable cruise brings you close to hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and countless waterbirds. The journey culminates at the base of the powerful Murchison Falls, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Africa.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, begin your scenic drive south toward Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The route passes through traditional villages, tea plantations, rolling hills, and stunning countryside. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views that reveal why Uganda is known as the Pearl of Africa.
Arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon and settle into your lodge overlooking the wilderness.
Overnight: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge and Kazinga Channel Boat Safari
Start the day with an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience in Kyambura Gorge. Often called the “Valley of Apes,” this lush forest gorge cuts through the savannah and creates a unique habitat for chimpanzees.
Follow experienced guides into the forest as you search for these intelligent primates. Watching chimpanzees communicate, feed, and move through the trees creates one of Uganda’s most memorable wildlife encounters.
Later, enjoy a boat safari on the famous Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway supports one of Africa’s highest concentrations of hippos. You may also spot elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and numerous bird species along the shoreline.
Overnight: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 6: Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Enjoy an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains. Search for lions, elephants, hyenas, buffaloes, and antelope species before continuing your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
As you travel through southwestern Uganda, the landscape changes dramatically. Rolling hills, terraced farms, and mist-covered mountains create some of the country’s most beautiful scenery.
Arrive in Bwindi and prepare for tomorrow’s unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure.
Overnight: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today marks the highlight of your Uganda Gorilla Safari.
After an early briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, enter the ancient rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek may take several hours depending on the gorillas’ location. However, every step becomes worthwhile once you encounter these gentle giants.
Spend one unforgettable hour observing mountain gorillas as they feed, play, groom, and interact within their family group. Few wildlife experiences compare to gorilla trekking in Uganda, making this one of the most sought-after adventures in Africa.
Overnight: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 8: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, relaxation with an optional boat cruise
After breakfast, depart Bwindi and travel to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah national park.
The scenic drive passes through picturesque landscapes characterized by rolling hills, cattle farms, and traditional communities. Upon arrival, enjoy an evening game drive in search of zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, topis, and giraffes.
Lake Mburo offers a completely different safari experience compared to Uganda’s larger parks, creating excellent diversity within your itinerary.
Overnight: Lake Mburo National Park
Day 9: Walking Safari and afternoon relaxation
Begin the day with a guided walking safari. Unlike most African national parks, Lake Mburo allows visitors to explore the wilderness on foot. This activity provides a unique perspective on wildlife and the surrounding ecosystem.
Later, enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Watch hippos relax in the water while fish eagles, kingfishers, herons, and other bird species thrive along the shoreline.
The combination of walking safaris, wildlife viewing, and beautiful landscapes makes Lake Mburo one of Uganda’s hidden gems.
Overnight: Lake Mburo National Park
Day 10: Return to Entebbe – Equator Experience and Departure
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Entebbe.
Along the way, stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs, souvenir shopping, and cultural experiences. This iconic landmark provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate your journey across Uganda.
Continue to Entebbe and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
As your safari concludes, take with you unforgettable memories of mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, rhinos, waterfalls, savannah wildlife, and the warm hospitality that makes Uganda one of Africa’s most rewarding safari destinations.
